A very new city, seemingly built around it’s nice beach marketplace. Modern buildings, heritage style though.

So great. Laid back, friendly, incredible landscape, incredible everything. Tons of outdoorsy stuff to do too. Awesome.

Any fan of rock or modern music (including the blues, punk, oldies and hip hop) needs to check this place out. Seeing the guitars and artifacts from landmark performances and recordings, the very things you’ve seen in pictures and on TV, and finding out about the background behind it all. Awesome.

And great for kids too, interactive exhibits for all ages.

Once you get up top and check out the visitors center and meet Cessna the eagle, there’s lots of nice trails and great views to be had. Plus if you’re willing you can catch up to a snowfield almost all year it seems!

...if not for the risk of a ton of ice breaking off and crushing you. It’s over land though, not over a big bay or anything, unlike most of the glaciers you see in Alaska.

If you’re already in Seward, it’s worth a little jaunt to go see. Don’t go too far to get there though. The drive there is nice, pretty from a distance.
