Sunset Beach, North Carolina

Great for families and kids under 16

Quiet beach that’s getting more and more popular every year.
We went as a family for 10+ years and I have great memories of the beach and time spent with family.
However, there’s is NO entertainment. There is a arcade and a general store, beyond that, you’re on your own.
Myrtle Beach is about 30 minutes away so it’s not too bad, but the place is very family (and families with young children) oriented. over 5 years ago

James Madison University, Harrisonburg

I went to college at JMU and, while it was an amazing time, I can’t imagine “visiting” Harrisonburg.
If you do go, go during the school year. The rest of the time you can walk across Main Street in the middle of the day without fear of being struck by a car. A tractor, maybe. over 5 years ago

Jamaica, Central America And The Caribbean

Went to Mandeville and Negril

My girlfriend’s family is from Mandeville (in the mountains) so we went there for a few days and then to Negril for a stay at The Sunset at the Palms resort.
Mandeville was amazing and Negril was a tourist trap. The Italians were “on holiday” while we were there.
