If you go be prepared to take the long walk between the two major archaeological sites. They are about a 1 mile apart and one is the top of a hill. I had to sit and rest..a few times! A combination of being out of shape, the higher altitude and I just wasn’t expecting it!

I spoke at TECMUN, en educational conference for students.

This university is now part of Walter Sisulu University for Technology and Science.

I only visited for a few hours a couple of times to do some research. I did meet the first African president of the student government. (1994)

I took a photo of a lioness in a tree. This was the beginning of my love of photography. The drivers in the car thought I was crazy to be hangin out of the car window taking photos!

I also took a photo with lion cubs….let me jsut say they stink!

I also remember the huge ant mounds!..orwas it termite. I do not remember, but they were 4 feet high!

They have the best lunch buffet deal. It is around 9$ for lunch buffet and worth every penny!

Stay at Hotel Quito and get a room facing the back of the hotel. Wake up early and see the valley behind Quito in the morning!

Wow! The clouds rolling in over the valley, moutains in the background!

Senior Trip 1985 from Heidelberg American HS. I was a sophomore…so I had the best week of my life!

Watched my first sunrise over the ocean!

I went to HHS from 1983 -1985 as a military brat.

At HHS I discovered Gummie Bears, Sour Gurken, Model United Nations and group trips!
