Maybe its because I’m from Israel, where christmas really isn’t a big thing; But I just came back from a short weekend vacation in Budapest, and was thrilled to discover the city’s magic, even during cold (yet not frozen) winter days. Christmas fair stalls on the main squares, and splendid Hungarian food.

Best place on earth. No doubt about it.

I’ve visited N-sk last April, and this is where I popped the questions. Visiting Russia for people who don’t speak Russians is quite a difficult task, as Russian rarely speak English – even in Moscow.

However, travelling with a native speaker is a real treat, as you get to experience more, I believe, than what you’d be doing with a group tour or on an independent do-you-speak-english trip.

If you don’t want to live in Tel-Aviv, pay high rent, breathe car engine smoke, and live in a city that can’t wind down. Nothing for tourists to do here, I’m afraid.
