I went here on a family vacation when I was 12. From what I remember it was kind of boring, nothing to really do of major interest, and it was like 107 degrees in the shade. My view on it may change if I were to go back now as an adult but this is just what I remember.
over 5 years agoSo NOTWORTHVISITING. Go to the ZOO in Washington DC instead. Seriously, I’ve been to the Baltimore Zoo 3 times and everytime it was dirty, crowded, There were like 5 animals out, and it was over priced. Not worth my time, money or patience. Just so not worth it. I can’t stress enough how awful the place was. I’ll never go back. That part of Baltimore is kinda scary anyway so be careful if you do go.
over 5 years agoDC is great. However, if you want to see/do everything I would make it a weekend trip. The traffic can be a pain, but I reccomend parking and taking the metro in if you can get away with it. Parking is hard to find. If you go to the zoo, especially with kids…make sure you take lots of sunblock in the summer months and bottled water because food & drink in the zoo is expensive, and be prepared to walk – alot – uphill too. The museums are great, as well as chinatown, and arlington national cemetary. You can really learn alot there.
