Cole Park

A tip I have about this place

There’s a great park for kids. Tire swings, ropes, a huge maze of walkways. I don’t recommend eating there. There’s an amphitheater there too.

Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Native plants, a boardwalk – wear comfortable shoes. Trails good for hiking or biking and picnic tables. The boardwalk is a great spot to birdwatch, or watch something going on in the bay like fireworks or the blue angels when they are in town.

Harbor Playhouse

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Casa Rio!

The play was awesome, and they even had a Q&A session with the cast, director and playwright afterwards. It was a really funny play, performed very well by the cast!

Texas State Aquarium

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Check out their website for dollar day, otherwise its $14 for adults and $9 for kids 3 – 12, $12 for seniors and $3.50 for parking. The website also has a coupon for $1 off admission.

There’s an interactive exhibit where you can touch stingrays or sharks, and a new Amazon rain forest exhibit opened not too long ago.
