We went snow skiing at Snow Summit many times in the last 3 years. I think we went about 6 times during the 2003-2004 season. Not as good powder as some other places like Mammoth, but definitely closer to drive to since I live in Southern California.

We went to Mammoth Mountain several times during the 2004-2005 season. It has terrain for all skill levels. Each time we went the crowds on the runs were manageable even when there was a wait in the lift lines. We just ski away from the crowds since the resort is so spread out.

We are going there with our sister-in-law’s family (3 nieces and their Dad are skiing) this weekend.

The photo above is in front of the fancy lodge. My wife thought it was real nice and worth taking a few inside photos. We were there to ski though, not sit in a lodge, so I was ready to get going.

We unfortunately went on a day when it had just RAINED (not snowed), so the slopes were hard and icy.

The layout of the resort indicated it would be worth going again when the surface conditions are better. But gotta wait until the next time I travel to Utah to ski.
