I was just there this past week. We saw the famous swimming pool where the little girl often makes an appearance. We did not see her. We went into the lockerroom area to experience the vortex and blue light … it was the first tour of the day that supposedbly did not experience the blue light, although one of the men in the group said he was feeling cold and dizzy.

Around Door 13 in the bowels of the ship where “John” was crushed by a door nearly 40 years ago, there is a TV down there that is unpluuged. I guess John likes to turn on the TV even when it unplugged. While we were there it tried to come on a couple of times. Was it John? I don’t know. I am a bit skeptical.

Colorful place. Wonderfully, hospitable people.

Went to Marquette for my undergraduate education. Had a great time and met some great people. Also, Marquette introduced me to the Jesuits.

Love it … no sales tax … Every trip from Seattle includes a Powell stop!

I love this space! I love attending Mass here as it really images well the diverse Church! Go! Hospitality is important to folks here as there are over 900 volunteers. You can also tell Cardinal Mahoney is very fond of this place and wants people to feel at home here.

A worthwhile place to visit while in Seattle. As one person said to me once, I feel like God is embracing me when I am in this space.

Always a surprise here … the light changes moment by moment and each hour of the day brings new color to the place. Greens, oranges, reds, etc. Two of my favorite times:

1) The Pentecost season in May is the only time that the color red is swathed across the north wall where the piano is.

2) The color orange fills the reconciliation room (see picture). I think this was taken around the noon hour.

Worthwhile to get a tour while there.

Been going there for 5 years now … I always love going there with friends!

Just be patient … if you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. Get there early … I often go on Thursday mornings and it has been a great way to start my morning. I like the French Toast or 2 eggs over easy, side of bacon, and an English Muffin. Folks are friendly. The onwer, Glo, recently passed away, but her spirit lives on in this Capitol Hill special place.

This is from the Sandino Monument looking toward downtown … the Cathedral still stands although unusable after the earthquake a number of years ago.

On my move to Seattle, I spent the night here …. would go back again!
