Lima is a very nice city that seems a little resevered to me. The barrio of Milaflores is very clean, safe easy to manuever. Calle de pizza is a nice place to go for some music eating and drinking. The beach isnt that appealing at all and is more rock than sand. Food is good with a emphesis on sauces. I thought some of the people were a little cold in a New York kind of feel when walking in the streets. The photo is of parque de amor (park of love). It is in a beautiful setting with well kept grounds. They place signs on the ground that i believe say something like “your park”. I think this is a good approach to ensuring the parks are kept clean and respected.

Iquitos is wonderful. It’s alot smaller than it’s Brazilian counterpart Manaus, but not lacking at all in personality. People here seem happier than people in Lima the capital although they dont have the same financial wealth. There three wheeled motor taxi are fun to ride. Good cheap food, surprisingly good nightlife and an abundance of friendliness make Iquitos a true gem of Peru.
