Highway395

Quiet, out of the way, National Park that covers a huge amount of territory in north Montana and Canada.

If this is your first time, make sure you go to Chinatown. For a traditional San Francisco Experience with a tremendous city view, stay at one of the main hotels on Nob Hill. By the way, for all you Wicked (the musical) fans out there…this is where it all began.

Looks just like you landed on a brown moon. Dry as a bone, middle of nowhere, quiet and there are millions of start out at night. Not many amenities, but a real unique place to visit.

Right off highway 395, north of Bishop. The lake was named after a group of convicts were caught and hanged there in the 1800’s. A great fishing spot, full of trout. Rent a boat or fish from the shore. They have a small grocery store and cabins. Fun, not crowed, easy to get to and real pretty - a great photo spot.

Just across the Nevada border between Las Vegas and St. George Utah. I Got stuck here when my car broke down in August 2003. It was 125 degrees outside!! This one road town had a “Dam Deli” a “Dam Newspaper” and a “Dam Gas Station!” Two other people were stuck there with cars on the fritz. A man about 100 years old kept walking around asking “Are you broke down?” “Are you broke down?” Then he came by my car and said “Whooo EEE! It’s so hot outside, the corn in my backyard was poppin’ right off the cob and my dog thought it was snowing!” No kidding! I couldn’t make this up if I wanted to!!
