Maybe it was because this was the tail-end of our trip, and tensions were high… and we were there for the 4th of July, with a lame fireworks show… but I didn’t see anything worth visiting.

I was very young, but I remember a lot. My dad was stationed at Nassau. I remember crabs on the beaches, a really crappy hotel with roaches and a broken AC/Heater that was like a furnace, and supposedly we accidentally drove onto a pot plantation, and are lucky we were just turned in the right direction. But it was really pretty.

Park on the San Diego side and either walk or take a cab in. Good for cheap crap. Tacky and touristy, though.

The Basillica is gorgeous, and the Sistine Chapel is nice, but kind of anticlimactic after being herded through hall after hall of art. I’d like to go back as an adult, and a Catholic, however.

Don’t go during winter. Go during late Spring. Windy and Stormy in the summer. Especially the Cliffs of Mohr. We literally almost got thrown off the cliffs.

It’s not bad. Just small, and doesn’t seem to have much of an identity of its own. Before the onset of the Euro, it accepted three types of currencies—The French Franc, the Belgian Franc, and the German Mark. It’s pretty, though. Not bad for a lunch stop.

I didn’t see much, but the people are really nice, and they have great campgrounds!

Head to the beach. Central and northern Spain are boring and desolate. If you’ve been to Mexico, you aren’t missing anything in central Spain. The coast is gorgeous, though. I highly recommend visiting Gibraltar, as well (although this is technically England).

Becoming more crowded and trafficky all the time, but I still have a special place in my heart for all of San Diego.

I guess it’s worth seeing, just to say you’ve been there, but it’s not as exciting as it sounds.
