A writer’s nook and thinker’s corner hidden in a residential downtown street in all its loveliness. Perfect for a lingering coffee stop or even a light healthylicious meal. Delicious sandwich wraps!

Great place to celebrate to a great atmosphere, exotic decor and belly dancing! 4 course dinner is more than satisfying and savory, my favorites: out of this world creme brulee and refreshing mint tea.

I’m rather new in the burrito department but after eating one of theirs there really is no question about where to get a genuinely hearty burrito. It’s big and fat and TASTY!!!

First off, this establishment has nothing to do with the late author Ernest Hemingway.
It was nice to be on the roof top, but the wait is a hassle if you’re not used to European style restaurant waiting, it was even worse than that. It felt as though we had been forgotten…
The chicken pesto pasta I ordered was delicious. My Husband had a burger and fries with beer. I had a taste of the fries, loved them. My husband thought the burger wasn’t juicy enough, but the beer to his liking.
My Husband’s request for mayonnaise when ordering wasn’t fulfilled, hence he tried asking a second time and more than half way through his then cold meal came the mayonnaise.

A special friend treated us, my Husband and I, to this traditional East Indian restaurant off of Avenue Road in a quiet posh street.
The setting is lovely and convivial- we sat in the solarium near a statuette of an Indian God. Candle light accompanied our jovial conversing.
The food is excellent! Spicy and a pleasure to the senses.
We chose three dishes to share amongst ourselves:
“Saag” – creamy spinach and paneer; “Lazeez-E-Jhinga” – shrimps cooked in a creamy sauce of asparagus, coconut milk, tamarind, mango and poppy seeds and “Nali Gosht” – lamb chops in a medium curry sauce and aromatic spices. All this with Roti bread to scoop it all up. We finished our meal with a delicious “Mango Lassi”, a refreshing mango and yogurt drink that has a thick smoothie-like consistency.
This restaurant is a must if you enjoy treating your taste buds to spicy delicacies. We absolutely love it and cannot wait to go back.

There was a time when I worked there as a waitress! Tough customers I tell you.
They’ve moved a block south since then. The store has lost its cosy boutique restaurant feel and resembles a modern trendy thing from the outside. I have yet to come in the new premises…
Anyhow, the croissants are the best in town, I know…I’m French. But come in early.
I was fortunate enough to go home with a bag of them at the end of the day IF there were any left of course!
...A fresh croissant is well overdue.

Great place. Away from traffic in a residential street, nice all year round. The atmosphere is perfectly relaxed and friendly. Poetry readings on Tuesdays and Jazz night on Wednesdays. The food is GOOOD. I tried their salmon burger and fries, absolutely delicious. Love the fries, love’em, they come with ranch dressing. My Husband tried their specialty burger and gave it an 8/10 (great rating). One of the best selection of beer on draft.

Delicious daiquiries for $3 on Mondays. Good Tex-Mex food and spot.
They have a very good selection of tasty deserts…not just your common ones!
