There is no parking available if you find an open meter its 30 mins only . Also there seems to be a plethora of one way streets and virtually no left turns? parking garages are expensive and no where near the places to see . this city is crowded and traffic is horrendous . Good food isnt found in the city. Museums are lame comparable to lobby of any big city museum. My advise is to fly into SF rent a car drive south on highway 1 to Big Sur, Monterey, Carmel, or North to Muir Woods, Sonoma, Napa. The only positive to SF is people watching . They are diverse to say the very least unique rushing with no sense of purpose and drivers love their horns in this city. Lots of homeless people scattered throughout the city .
most streets are vertical. Oh and tickets are 40.00 given quickly.
