The summer my mother passed away, I started corresponding with a guy in the Netherlands. I didn’t think it would last long, really – I’m terrible at keeping track of everything even during the best of times. That was two years ago though, and we chat on MSN almost every day. If at all possible, I’d like to go see him. It’s odd having a friend I’ve never actually talked to…

I’m obsessed with haiku, and lately, I’ve been thinking about going to Japan for a time to study haiku. I don’t know exactly where or how, but I’d love to, and I’ve found several possible ways to do it. Now the only thing I have to do is make one of them work…

This is a recent obsession, but when I finally get my driver’s license, I’d love to take one of my best friends with me and travel all of Route 66. I just think it would be a fun change of pace. :)

Even though I’m not in the least bit athletic, I’d love to hike the Appalachian Trail. I just think it would be a wonderful experience and a chance to grow and learn on my own.

I’ll probably never find the time, but I still want to go. It’s one of my hidden obsessions, but maybe I’ll work up the courage to mention it to a few of my friends and maybe get a group together so we can all go hike it as a team. That would be nice. :)
