Directly in front of the Basillica at Lourdes is a statue of the Virgin Mary. She has a crown on her head and she is in the center of a circular shaped area filled with flowers. It is said that if you stand in front of her and offer three Hail Mary prayers, you are sure to return to Lourdes!

I want to go back to this city so I can eat the delicious
mussels. Then I want to have some more of that beer called “Chimay” made by those famous Belgian Trappist Monks!
It gave me quite a buzz from just two sips.

Brugge is a charming town. I bought loads of delicious Belgian chocolates here. One can also find beautiful lace here.

I had a limited stay in Paris, and I hadn’t planned on visiting the Louvre, but I had only two days left and decided to visit this magnificent place on a whim towards the end of my stay.
I wished I had several days to visit this place. I was so impressed and in awe! The sculptures and paintings were just a few of the amazing artworks I managed to squeeze into my half-day visit. I will give myself at least 2-3 days to fully appreciate this place on my return to the City of Lights.

I was also impressed with getting around Paris. This city has a very well defined and easy to use underground subway system known as the metro line. From our hotel, we were able to walk to the nearest metro stop to take connecting lines to various parts of the city for sightseeing. I was pleasantly surprised. Day passes are offered too.
