I recall going there- 5 years ago now? And the place being absolutely flooded with Japanese tourists. The place was so crowded, one particular Japanese gentlemen put his camera literally on my head so he could get a picture of something in front of the crowd.

But pretty much what everyone says below/above my post is enough to either persuade or dissuade you. I just thot I’d add something interesting…

It was my childhood dream (1st grade, as far as I can remember)- to become an astronaut. Too bad I grew up with a pungent distaste for science…

My professors assure me that I’m a “space cadet” though. Take that as you may…

I’ve visited New York many times… each time somewhere different!

1. My first real visit was NYC. I have a separate entry just for it in its respective place.

2. Second visit was on a trip to the Adirondacks, where I spent two weeks in the wilderness with a group of friends, far far away from society and we hiked multiple mountains, including Giant. Was one of the more memorable experiences in my life.

3. A couple months later, I took a road trip to western New York State on a mission to get buffalo wings from Buffalo. We stopped at Syracuse on the way there, and we also saw the NY side of Niagara falls while we were in town (which was disappointing- Canada side is supposedly better?)

4. Thanksgiving I spent the holiday with a friend’s family on Long Island. I wasn’t a humongous fan, but the neighborhood I stayed in was a very nice one- it was private property though, so that’s to be expected. I used the China town buses to get in and out of New York State on this particular trip.

I approve of all 4 locations I was at, although Long Island prolly isn’t much of a hotspot or a “must-see”…
