Great place to live, job market sucks

Lived there from 1985-1997. Graduated from FSU. The fun in this town comes from good times with friends at FSU events or hanging out at watering holes. Hottest place in Florida, but fortunately close to Wakulla Springs – natural spring that stays at 65 degrees even in the middle of summer. Great family and college town. Compact town, lots of trees, small town environment, homes more expensive. Job market sucks – you either work for the state or a mom-and-pop place. The state pay scale tops out at $35 K for most people.

Best place in Florida to Live!!!

Jacksonville Rocks!! Great local music scene, every type of water sport! Hurricanes usually avoid Jax! Each part of city has its own vibe – Mandarin is old oak trees, family, and big houses. Great place to find a job in banking or insurance or shipping! Big port. Low cost of living. Very conservative and lots of churches.
