My Trip

July 2006

I went to Ottawa! It was amazing. The plane ride was awesome, except both times, during landing the air pressure change caused painful havoc in my ears and I was in constant almost indescribable pain. Apparently this is very rare so don’t worry yourself, I’m just one of the lucky few. TIP: If you do experience pain in your ears during landings or air pressure changes in a plane, take two paper cups and two paper towels. Wet the paper towels with really hot water and fold them. Put one towel in each of the cups, and press the cups against your ears. This really helps relieve the pressure!!

Anyway, the architecture there was some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. We got in a tour of Parliament (high recommended if you are into masonry or anything in stone; the work on this place is fantastic); which is most memorable because I got engaged at the top of the Peace Tower. Recommended you see that, the view from there is simply spectacular!

Other things of note are the markets in summer, they ROCK! Busking is a true art there. It will be a true Canadian culture experience if you go. I can’t wait to go back!

Prince Edward Island, Canada

Best trip of my life so far...

Saw real ship builders at work; visited Anne of Green Gables site (JUST like my imagination had it in the books!), dipped my feet in the ocean, ate wonderful lobster (that you can pick right fresh from the tank!) on the wharf, this trip was great!
