Brussels is a wonderful city to wander about. I just hope you have an expense account because, with all the Eurocrats running around, the food and lodging has become too expensive for most tourists.
over 6 years agoIn the five years I lived there, I managed to talk only one of my friends (and none of my family) into visiting. There’s just not more than a weekend’s worth of stuff to do unless you really like bars. Having said that, the quality of life was great. If you get a job offer in Atlanta, I’d recommend taking it, but I’d also recommend renting instead of buying.
over 6 years agoThe riverwalk is nice and all, but that’s just where we coral the tourists. For the really good food, fun, culture, and history, you’ll have to go a little farther out. Ask anyone and everyone for recommendations. It’s a good sized city, but the people are mostly small town friendly.
