Well, I spent about a week and a half in Germany back in 2004, it was ok, but then in 2006, I lived in southwestern Germany for about 6 months. I lived in a relatively small town called Tübingen, in the State Baden-Württemburg. I really loved it there, and wish that I could go back! I studied abroad there for a semester, and it was such a beautiful city. We have a river there, and an island in the middle. We would sit there almost every day eating ice cream or whatever, and would often rent a boat and go on the river itself. It was so great. Not to mention the food. Oh, Tübingen has some of the best food in Germany…

My sister and I spent two days in Barcelona last summer…it was pretty cool. It is a very beautiful city, although I must admit, we only went there because she wanted to go to the Prada, which we were able to knock out in about 4 hours, which meant we had some time left over to do other stuff. The food is great, and the people are generally rather friendly…

I spent a week in Egypt last year, and on the whole, it was a great experience. We spent a day in Cairo, went into one of the pyramids, and saw all kinds of beautiful things in the Egyptian museum. We went snorkeling in the Red Sea, and went on a midnight star gazing tour (sooo sweet, you can see the Milky Way!) However, if you decide to go there, be careful when you go into shops, as my friend and I found that we were often not allowed to leave the shop until we bought something. Also, they would pretty much force you to drink this tea, which was…special…it tastes bad at first, but kinda grows on you…It was a great time, but be careful!

I spent about a month in South Africa in 2005, and it was freaking incredible! My experiences there were unmatched by any other place I’ve been to! The sheer natural beauty of the country is astounding! From the Three Rondawels to the Blyde River Canyon to Bourke’s Luck Potholes, one can see three of the most gorgeous naturally occuring things in the world…and they are all within about 4Km of each other! Kruger National park is incredible, and so are the smaller ones like Hlehlewe. The contrast between the rich and poor in the country is just unbelievable. On can be in the poorest region of the country (Soweto), and drive 2 minutes and be at Nelson Mandela’s mansion. It is definitely a country of differences, but it is incredible!

Swaziland is a very very small country in southern Africa…it only takes about 4 hours to cross the entirety of it! We stopped there briefly for lunch, and to see a glass factory…it was pretty cool, but I’m not an expert or anything!
