North Hollywood, Los Angeles

gotta agree!

I like it here too! very chill, kick back.. lots of cool people the furter east ya go it seems until you hit burbank.. then it gets weirder. in the not so good way.. although there are lots of nice neighborhood over there if your 50+.

40 and under and esp in your 20s? noho is chill, but very diffferent from the rest of the “valley” in a good way, although its definately not hollywood.. which I kinda miss. I wish there were more cool bars here though.. I guess i gotta keep looking.. just moved here a few months ago from hollywood.

Anyhow, see my post about LOSANGELES and then you’ll understand noho a bit better probably… its similar…. kinda. Noho is WAY better than the westside (Santa monica, westwood etc…) also I have to agree with it being more of a future popular city. I hope it doesnt get too many trendyish stores and malls and whatnot… I kinda like it being different and more uniquie. This was a really helpful post huh?

Los Angeles, Los Angeles County

SECRET CITY OF EVERYTHING

I love it how when I was in Europe I told people I was from LA, and they literally took a step back and usually stopped talking to me. Awesome. Now, thats my kinda place. LA is filled with mediocrity as someone else said and that actually what I kinda like about it. It is so unbeleivably expansive….HUGE just isnt the word. Imagine driving for 5 hours or so in moderate traffic in one direction, and still being in Los Angeles. Lots of people here are cookie cutters of TV and movie stars etc and tons of people think its cool to be just like everything else with their god awful style.. and to me, its hilarious. A thing to be beheld. Everyday entertainment. Its a beautiful thing.

I love the city on a clear night from atop the hollywood hills, and I love the neverending choices of things to do. you could literally do something different every night of your entire life here and never run out of things to do… probably 3 lifetimes over. If you came here and visited and didnt like it, you hung out with the wrong people, and at all the wrong places. There really is something for everyone here.. actually “something” is an understatement.. probabaly more like "50 million things for everyone " here, and then some. Its exciting, its fun, and its ALWAYS a crazy party. Everyone from everywhere comes here at some point so theres always an incredible mix of people and cultures, and traffic.. so go out at night… avoid the freeways during the day, and for god sakes, rent a car and befriend someone really cool to help show you around. without a good friend as your guide, you’ll be unable to find anything rockin.. because its super easy to find everything mediocre… even if it looks really cool from the outside.. remember, its all about Holllywood here (FAKE). Also, hollywood is really fun if you hit the right places. look for the more underground places and scenes for the real action. the “sunset strip” is realllllly bad for the most part. dont even bother. try Los

Felis, silverlake, echo park, downtown, west hollywood, some parts of venice, some cool bars like the arsenal in Santa monica (but theyre mostly really cheezy in santa monica) and tons of cool little tiny places in hollywood as well. Ask people that live in those citys where the good places are (except santa monica and westwood,, ugh) and you’ll probbaly yeild good results. Good luck, but if you have the frikin amazing time I think you will have here, just dont move here unless you’re really really cool,, because there just too many retards here already. thanks in advance! ;)

Tula Tea Room, Los Angeles

freaky as hell.. especially the dog.

Went upstairs to this cool lounge for snacks and tea after the museum, and there were creepy dog paintings on the walls leading into it… and then… a dog walked in the room. a small one. ands it STARED at us, and then ran away downa quiet empty corridor into the tea lounge… EXTREMELYCREEPY. but the snacks in the lounge were yummy, the quietness and no place to really sit made it a but creepy…. to the max. I saw they have an outdoor patio.. they should turn that into a outdoor patio for the tea lounge, I’d hang out there for fun! :) Brooklyn style.

EDIT : looks like theres places to sit in the picture, but i dont remember that. weird.
