Outer Banks, North Carolina

Untitled

There’s tons to do! You could go swimming, crabbing, shopping and I’m sure there’s more that I didn’t discover. I went there with a friend and it was amazing. Jumping in the waves was a blast. They have some interesting shops to check out and you can find a lot that you might want to take home as a souvenier. My friend’s family rented a beach house. It’s really nice waking up early and heading down to the shore to walk the shoreline and collect shells and whatnot. It’s well worth the trip.

Caribou, Maine

Yay!

Maybe it’s because I had lived there for so long… but I actually find Caribou worth visiting. The people are nice and it’s a cute little town. There is beautiful foliage in the falls and awesome blizzards in the winter… well, I’m not so sure now, we’ve been getting some warm winters lately. In any case it’s a great place to go and relax. It’s also very close to Canada… I’d say it takes about an hour to get to Canada from there. It’s just an overall nice place. If you’re a shopping nut or the kind of person who needs amusement parks to be entertained when going away, then it might not be a good idea to go.

Fort Knox, Maine

Lots of fun!

It was overall very interesting to go here. I loved walking around and looking at the buildings. The water and the view was beautiful. Well worth a visit. Just as a warning, to those who hate spiders, be mindful. We went in some of the buildings and in the windows there were some of the biggest spiders I’ve ever seen!!! Huge for a normal type of spider. My mom freaked and my step-dad took some pictures. If I could find them, I’d stick them up.
