I had never heard of Cinque Terre before. I was going to Italy for a few months and my brother told me about it. He’d been there on a previous trip.
I fell in love with Cinque Terre instantly. Houses perched on cliffs by the Mediterranean. The colors, the water, the people. Everthing was great.
If you’re physically capable, you should definetely hike the trail that goes from Monterosso to Riomaggiore. Beautiful views. You should also buy a lemon from the man who sells them if he’s there that day. I never knew a lemon could taste so sweet!

Went during Carnivale weekend. Had a blast, met people from all over the world.
