What I like about Barcelona is that the people there enjoy life at a more realistic pace than New Yorkers do and they seem happier for it.

I took a train thru Switzerland when I was a kid. From what I saw, it looks like a good place to fulfill my snowboarding in the Alps goal.

We spent our honeymoon on the big island of Hawai’i. There’s not much I can say about the place that hasn’t beeen said, except that it’s the most exotic place that you can go and not have people hate you for being an American. In fact, all of the locals were nice to us tourists.

The food find was L&L Hawaiian Barbeque, a fast food joint. Where else can you get a mahi mahi burger? We talked about how well a place like that would do in Brooklyn, and now we see that one is opening here in New York.

I liked it there, although I remember that it was hard to find good food, and what they had was wildly expensive.

New York forgets its history. So much has happened here, but we don’t spend any time thinking about it. We’re only concerned with today. And we’ll tear down anything. Look what happened to the old Penn Station. Come see Ground Zero, and come see the memorial when it’s completed, before we convert it into luxury high-rises.

I went to the Whiskey a lot when I was in high school and college. It wasn’t much of a destination itself, but they had good bands there. I remember seeing the Dead Kennedy’s, 20/20, and Stiff Little Fingers. I didn’t even know that it’s still open.

It’s hard to tell with the tiny states. I’ll hit it again, just to make sure.

At least in the summertime.

Rock and Roll is about rebellion and this place is about worshipping the media establishment.

The barbecue is good. Unfortunately, the city that I saw was one giant slum.
