It’s sort of cool to go there and see how your taxes are being spent. I wouldn’t recomend taking a three year old on a walk from the capitol to the Washington Monument (been there done that. And i was the lucky three year old).
over 2 years agoI was born here and lived here for the first 10 years of my life. It’s very upscale. The library is the next best thing to the library of congress (they literally have EVERYTHING). The downtown is really nice and sort of touristy (but it’s not what you think of when you think of downtown, it’s very small) The Panera is really nice, instead of hanging out at the mall you hang out at Panera. The summers are really nice, and the winters are really rough and cold. Wilmette has a great Park District.
The beach is really nice. Great scenery. And it’s sort of funny to listen to people who have never seen a Great Lake before see Lake Michigan.
I wish i could move back!
