Its nothing too spectacular really… just kind of a cool little place. It’s on the west bank between I94 and Lake Street. If you’re driving south on W. River Road, it’s just pass the rail road bridge (seen in the picture). Follow one of the many trails down to the river and walk down it until you get here. There’s a place to have a bon fire and trash cans, so pick up the beer cans, please!

I took a road trip from Minneapolis to a little town outside Lexington when I was 17 with a friend of mine to visit his dad over the Fourth of July. I had never been anywhere this “southern” before, and had a great time. Sure, it’s kind of “nigger” this and “nigger” that, but if you look passed that, they people are great. We spent the days at the local pool meeting girls (with the sexy accents) and the nights drinking beer in the pick-up bed at the only gas station in town. I loved it.

I was in Legoland when I was 13 (7 years ago), which definately after my Lego phase had passed and I still loved it… the rides and such are pretty juvenile, but the displays are incredible. If you ever played with Legos as a kid and are in Denmark, you have to go.

The city itself isn’t incredible… but the weather is beautiful and it is a great place to study Spanish and also to start from to takes trips to other parts of Mexico… it’s a short bus ride to places like Mexico City, Taxco, Teotihuacan and Acapulco.
