Brooklyn, New York City

Untitled

I saw real snow for the first time while scoping out a concert venue here. It was awesome. I made a New York snowball. I’ll try to remember this entry to add pictures.

Orlando, Orange County

Untitled

Orlando’s okay for maybe a few days, but no more. I’m sure I’m disillusioned with it though, having grown up there. Everything is geared toward tourism; much like St Augustine, they’re getting rid of the former charm and character of the city to make way for [tourist] attractions. It’s great if you’re a tourist, not-as-great if you’re a resident.

Central Park, Manhattan

Untitled

I went to NYC in July, and stayed in a hotel bordering the park. We have several images from our floor 19 room, looking down (none that I have with me), and we did some people watching. One morning, my parents and I walked to the AMNH, and all I remember is they got completely lost, a homeless man woke up while we walked through his tunnel and then chased us out, and my mom was afraid of some rocks because of a Law & Order episode she saw.

I’m going back for New Year’s, and my friends, who I’m travelling with, have already decided that we’re spending the better part of a day inside the park. Then again, I don’t think they understand the concept of winter as it applies outside of Florida.
