Why I want to go to this place

I want to go to this place because its been my dream since I was a kid. I plan on moving to San Fran in the next 5 years (I figure 5 is a good ammount of time to save up) the only time ive actually been to san fran was my plane landed and i was stuck in the airport for 3 hours on layover. Ive never seen the sites. But I want to. My great grandfather was a gaurd at alacatraz so I really want to visit that place.
