Pet Food Express

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

A friend & I visited Pet Food Express while in Lafayette for a “Canine Structure & Movement” seminar June of 2006. This is a wonderful place to shop for pet supplies! They carry some of the absolute best brands of pet food available. I bought some great holistic dog treats to take back home with me. Whenever I’m back in Lafayette, I’ll definitely stop by Pet Food Express again! Just wish we had a top-notch store like this in my city….

Boardwalk Hotel

Worth visiting!

~Gold Dust Tour~

I stayed at the Boardwalk my first visit to Las Vegas in May of 2005. My sole purpose for my long voyage to Vegas was to see Stevie Nicks in-concert at Caesars Palace. The attached photo is the view of The Strip from my room. The staff was extremely nice, and their little Italian bistro was delicious. Sadly, the Boardwalk closed as of January 9, 2006….

Caesar's Palace

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

My first visit to Caesars Palace was May of 2005 to see Stevie Nicks in-concert on her Gold Dust Tour. It was also my first time to see Stevie on a solo tour. It was an amazing experience I’m not soon to forget….

Las Vegas

Worth visiting!

~Gold Dust Tour~

I made the long voyage to Las Vegas to see Stevie Nicks at Caesars Palace May of 2005. It was the first time I’d seen Stevie in-concert solo, and also my first time in Vegas. The strangest thing about it was pre-concert when I was strolling down The Strip clad in my black chiffon Stevie garb and encountered a CP employee in his Trojan outfit. Anyone remember the Fleetwood Mac “Tusk” video with the USC Trojan marching band?? TrippyLOL

Cat People

Worth visiting!

~Angels For Felines~

The Cat People is a non-profit group which rescues, rehabilitates and finds homes for Bakersfield’s abandoned felines. They are wonderful people! I have the pleasure of sharing my home with 2 lovely feline girls adopted from The Cat People, Sara and Gypsy. The Cat People gift shop has items both for humans and felines alike. My kitties love the Hot Cats catnip toys I bought there!

Paws On Main

Worth visiting!

~Fun Rubber Stamps~

I love this shop! Paws On Main is a small shop devoted exclusively to rubber stamping. There are wall-to-wall displays of 100s of rubber art stamps. Part of the selection changes from season to season, but there’s always a wonderful variety of cute, realistic, artsy, humorous, and word/sayings rubber stamps available. There are also high quality ink pads and embossing powders in the center of the shop.

Charles Paddock Zoo

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

The first time I went to the Charles Paddock Zoo was with my parents & brother when I was about 8 years old. I recently went back to the zoo 20+ years later and it is just as wonderful as I remembered it! My absolute favorite part were the Lemurs & the Meerkats. The baby Meerkats were out for the first time according to the docents, so I returned on a pretty wonderful day!
