The Georgia Theatre is reopening on August 1, 2011. From the pictures it’s going to be beautiful and there will be a rooftop restaurant added to the complex. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting our city. It’s a beloved landmark!
about 1 year agoFinally made it to Haralson County and the home of my grandfather. I found my great-grandparents Hutchens and my great-great grandparents Kimballs. I was named after my gg-grandmother Marie Hutchens so it was especially nice to find her. My goal for my next visit in the area is to find their house (or the location of their house). I doubt the original structure is still standing.
about 1 year agoI know a small town like Tallapoosa, GA is not exactly a tourist attraction but it was the home of my grandfather and both his parents and I think grandparents are buried there. I am named for my great-grandmother and would really like to see where he lived and where she’s buried.
