Marree, South Australia

Marree

My parents live in Marree. It’s isolated, hot, dry, small, and unique.

There is a wooden camel sundial as the town’s main attraction, there are only a couple of small shops (1 general store/post office, 1 cafe), BUT a BRILLIANT pub (say hello to Denise and Willie, they’re the kindest publican’s you’ll ever meet. And the shnitzels are DIVINE!)

This is a beautiful beginnning to the Ooodnadatta and Birdsville tracks.

Nearby is also the phenonema of the Marree Man!

Information on the Marree Man can be found on Wikipedia. What it represents and how it was mysteriously created are still controversial topics.

Scotland, Great Britain

Huge change, but I'm glad I'm here...

Moved here just over a month ago, from Australia… It’s generally at least 30 degrees Celsius colder here than where I’m from back home, but it’s awesome none-the-less… Some of the Glens out in the country are breathtaking… Seeing SNOW for the first time in my life was amazing… I definitely love living here ;)
