stunning, and teeming with energy. i was blown away.

agh! missing your plane back home at the end of a backpacking trip is no fun! but we made it back… just a slight detour to new york on the way back to boston. ;-)

Rome was rather a shock after Venice (i had just grown accustom to no cars and consistant calming water sounds) but it was worth the look around nonetheless. the ruins were cool, the city was bustling, the boys were cute (if roudy) and the weight of history was fantastic.

make sure you get to see the Goudi park in Barcelona it can be kind of a hike to walk there but it is so incredibly beautiful – the place looks like it’s changing right before your eyes, without ever moving!

Absolutely one of the most amazing best-kept-secret beauties in the US. breathtakingly clear and enchanting. and the folklore history of the lake is fasinating. Even the way the lake was formed is worth checking out. Go! go see it!

It’s a nice place to live. great high school. pretty. a good place to have as a home base.

It was very clear that I was a silly American because I insisted on making eye contact with people on the street and smile at them until they smiled back. they thought i was crazy. but it was fun!
