Elvis was shorter and skinnier than I had imagined judging by the costumes on display. The Jungle Room wasn’t near as tacky as I thought it would be either. I liked that the narration for the tour was on headphones so I didn’t have to talk to any of the staff or the other people in my tour group. haha

People who live there call it “Fayettenam”

The area is growing way too fast and road planning is poor.
Expect it to take longer than you thought it would to get anywhere during peak hours or if there is a ballgame going on.

The town has lots of neo-hippies who stink like patchouli and pot smoke. There will always be one or two of them seated near you so you’d best learn to enjoy the smell of dirt.

All restaurants are non-smoking per city ordinance so there are always a ton of cig. butts and several twitchy puffers outside.

Forget about buying a house there unless you want to pay upwards of $200,000 for one that will need some work before you can move in.

It’s a college town (University of Arkansas). There are tons of clueless sorority sisters and frat boys running around drunk driving Parentally-Purchased SUV’s.

I love this place. They have lots of hiking trails and CCC built cabins, a lodge, and tee-pee’s you can rent.
