    Bellingham

    Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

This is a great place- neat little coffee shops, nice harbor, beautiful scenery, great people. The public transportation is cheap, plentiful and great. I would love to go back and just hop a bus in Seattle, and stop at each of the towns along the way working my way up the coast to Bellingham. There’s a dozen or more great little towns along the way. It would make a terrific trip.

    Key West

    Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

This is a great place for a cozy weekend. It’s away from it all, the island is relatively small so you can see ‘everything’ without exhausting yourself or failing to spend time on your vacation doing what you deserve- relaxing and having a good time. There’s nice beaches, beautiful B&Bs everywhere, great bars, and very interesting people- be sure to ask about the ‘conch republic’. I love Duvall street.

One more note- watch out for the chickens! Key West is to chickens as New York is to pidgeons. You’ll have to see it to understand, trust me…

    Manhattan

    Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Interestingly enough, the best way to see Manhattan is to go to Jersey City. I went for a business trip and ended up staying at a Marriott right on the water, with a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and Ellis Island. Right outside and about fifty feet away was the train, which takes you to the old World Trade Center station in Manhattan in a three-minute ride- and from there, you can see everything in the city. On top of that, the hotel is in a high-end business district. This means on weekends, the rates are very cheap, it’s not crowded, and there’s never a wait at any of the many good restaurants near the hotel. It’s very much the best of both worlds!
