A review of this place
The New York Times wrote a review just yesterday. The slide show gives a pretty good idea of what the area looks like and the article does have information about what goes on in this town.

My name in lights…
The reason I want to go to Minnesota is fairly obvious. They have named a city after me and it is my duty to honor them with my presence. :D Just kidding! He-he.
But seriously, it would be so cool. I could get a sweatshirt with my name on it and just experience the area.
Minnesota has beautiful scenery. I’m sure I could find things to do…I could ride a hot air balloon or a horse. If I wanted to buy something I could go to the Mall of America. I need to do some more research on this area.

I wonder if I could go with my class when they go to Spain next year…That would be interesting and a good chance to visit.
Edit: Problem is they do not currently do it anymore but my teacher and maybe a few others want them to do it again.

I think I am going to have fun learning the language a bit.
I had no idea. The language sounds so lovely.
Some of the words sound similar as well.
Such as certain dairy products—tamago [egg], bataa [butter], yooguruto [yogurt], chiizu [cheese], & aisukuriimu [ice cream].
The biggest challenge, I think, for me personally right now is remembering these words & learning more.
Right now I am concentrating on vocabulary, pronunciation [I need to hear the words], & conversation skills/speaking. I will have to defer most of the studying for this since it will be a long while before I actual travel to Japan.
I suppose I will need to take a class then or something.

I visited family there a few years ago. I love the scent of my Grandfather and he smokes. :] I usually can’t stand the stench of secondhand smoke but…
I remember warm tones...in the buildings and the dirt. There was a garden, a creepy apartment building (gave me a terrifying nightmare), the balcony (there were always airplanes flying overhead so whenever I hear them now I smile because I remember…), and the grandmother I have had a grudge against ever since as well as that horrid little girl. I apologize for recalling so many bad experiences. :] Hm, I remember walking with my aunt, she bought me colorful school supplies, and my other aunt gave me ice cream I think…
