San Francisco

Worth visiting!

I left my heart in San Francisco

I lived here as a childhood in the mid and late eighties, before all the new modern condos at South Market were built. I have alot of good memories living in this wonderful city with all the neighborhood kids. I remember playing street baseball, street footbal, climbing apartment roofs, hangi’n out at the Pinole Inner City Youth Center in 6th St., Going to 14th and Mission to go grocery shopping with my parents, Saturday Market at Civic Center, riding the Muni Bus, watched the SF Giants play at Candlestick Park. The old folks around the neighorhood were really nice to the kids. The weather is always nice, but it can get cool during the day.

Although alot has changed, Frisco is still #1 in my heart and still visit whenever I get a chance to.

Go with friends who likes to party!

I stayed for 2 nights, with 2 other friends. Everything is on the strip so make sure to book a property here. We stayed at Excalibur, a family oriented property, which is ok because most of the time your either gambling, getting drunk, or partying etc. If you’re not into partying you can still enjoy your stay, stroll along the strip take pictures of the architectures, just ignore the people thats passing out porn flyers, go swimming, tanning in the hot blazing sun, and the food is great. go to the buffets. And if $$$ is not an issue stay at The Wynn or Ceasars Palace. Most popular properties have their own clubs. Take a cab to The Palms a popular spot for dance clubs. This terrain is dry and hot. Best time to go is early spring.

Cuba

Why I want to go to this place

I always though it might be like traveling back to time, their rhythm and music, vintage cars, cigar, beautiful people, customs, and colonial buildings. I can only dream right now, so in a meanwhile I should probably learn some Spanish.

Maui Adventure

Lahaina reminded me of the piers we have here in Seaside, Oregon, rustic, old docks with fishing boats and plenty of seafood restaurant ofcourse (yummy). The weather was perfect. I rented a jeep and toured around the island. I was looking for the “Manahunis (spl?)” small island people, Hawaiian legend had it that, they lived in the rainforest near by a waterfall (there is a name for it). Unfortunately I didnt find them, but on our way back, we did find ourselves in a Powow American Indian gathering where we had some local taste of authentic Hawaiian plate, typical Hawaiian plate are ususally combo of rice, laulau (pork wrapped in yam leaf), macaroni salad, salmon fresh salad, teriyakis, occompanied by guava juice in a can. Delicioso!

Fun little island!

I went to Hanauma bay and encountered the Hawaiian state fish called “Humu-humu-nuku-nuku-apu-a’a”. Oahu is rich in history, great people, great food, inviting Hawaiian music and dance, surfing, oh and the hawaiian ukulele, love the nightlife. Despite all the tourist its still worth visiting.

North Coast Kauai: Unforgettable Place

Also known as “The Garden Isle”. One of the most beatiful island in the world. I spent most of my time in the north coast. I drove to Haena State Park, a very romantic beach specially at sunset. Encounter sea turtles or just bask in the Hawaiian sun. Check out the nearby cave or for a little adventure hike along an ancient Hawaiian trail (watch out for lava rocks), or climb up a sacred Hawaiian temple. Theres plenty of empty beaches, rustic towns, and local scenes. You haven’t experience Hawaii until you come here. I will definately come back here again. MAHALO!
