It was about 10 years ago when a group of 10 of us decided to go to Bolivia for the weekend from Brazil with my Uncle. We got to some main city and decided we were going to grab a bite to eat after that we wanted to go see the fish market. Well with no truck taxis around we thought we could hop on a bunch of motorcycle taxis and get to the same spot in one big group, well not enough taxis for all of us and Freddy who knew “spanish” was going to go ahead and meet us there. Well after a hour of no Freddy we miraculously recognized the motorcycle taxi that had taken him and asked where he was of course we knew very little of the language and had no idea what he was saying however it was getting late and we needed to catch a bus so we had him lead a truck taxi to where he had dropped Freddy off. Well Freddy boy was dropped off at the front gate of a military compound and within a few minutes of being there 30 men ran out of the gates with michetes in hand right at him, they dropped to the ground just feet from him and after what he discribed as a very long few seconds they stood up and marched into the jungle. Needless to say he was a happy boy to see us and we got to catch our bus and take the ferry across the river.
The people are so friendly and I would love to visit again.

People have died over the Czech beer, they did not even give up their recipe to the Nazis! 600 or so years of brewing gives you a very nice beer, and what can I say I love the hunky food even though it may not be the best for your health. A Fantastic country with many things to see; landscapes, historic cities, and beautiful ladies. I hope to be back within a year.

Weisbeir and Bavarian Pretzels! It’s been a decade and I am still craving those pretzels! No one else has them, Epcot is on the right path but far from it.

Poland is a secret European destination. This is a very diverse country from the Baltic sea, to the historic and beautiful town of Krakow to the Southern mountains, to the Northern lakes. This is a beautiful country with wonderful people they may be a bit rough at first but most will welcome you in if you show genuine interest in their community. The food is terrific, the bread and beer are great, you can’t leave without the borscht soup. I love this country and it’s people!

Budapest is on my short list to visit again, it is fabulous. It helps that chicken paprikosh is my favorite meal!

I can’t wait to go back to Greece! Such wonderful people and the water can be so spectacular. Don’t count on sandy beaches expect rocks. A town called Naftoli the spelling may need some work was my favorite, it is on the lower portion South of Athens by about 2 or 3 hours it is just a perfect little town, has a old ruined castle and some great restaurants along with cheap art!!

I must admit I was sceptical about how Israel was the center of the world! the enjoyment I got from the trip I made is tough to explain, we saw a ton of sites some real, some probably fake, however knowing that so much history has happened where you are walking makes you appreciate everything so much more. I must say a journalist summed it up the best by saying,”Life does not go around you here and pass you by, what is does is goes through you.” It might sound a bit weird but if you have been there I think you will understand that. I was fortunate to have a native show me around to what I think were authentic sites and I hope to go back sometime in the next few years!

I did love the traditional Balinese people, however the recent indonesian influx has caused a less peaceful people to be on this wonderful island. It is mystical and very beautiful, but if you don’t like inscense do not go the air is full of it and it can get overwhelming. Also if you get away from the tourist areas you can get some amazing deals, however if you decide to snorkle choose early morning because the guides do not mind if they take you in 3-4 ft waves.

The Rumor goes that Panama is a jungle with a ditch in it and WOW what a different story there is to be told!! I absolutely love this country and have been there 3 times within the last year. It is so diverse for a small country from an amazing city and skyline to beautiful mountains. Beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic along with the tropical jungles we all know and love hehe.
