What I like from traveling around, it is not going to crazy crowed places such as Rome, Florence or Venice. What I like the most is not tourist cities, but small towns where you can truly learn about local culture. This is why I love the Venetto Region in Italy. There, in almost every small town you can see and learn something amazing. In Bassano, we found Poli, one of the finest producers of grappa. It has a musseum in Bassono itself, but not far away is the factory. Amazing to see how some parts of the production process still uses 19century machines and to taste all kinds of grappas.

This is the place where to find cuckoo clocks and high quality wood handcraft.

On the left hand the North Sea and on the right hand the Baltic Sea.

A beautiful town with cobbled street and very old and pretty houses.

Cartagena is a truly gem, though a bit expensive but visiting it worth every single penny. My advice is to get a good travelling guide such the 2006 edition of Colombia by Lonely planet. There, you will find very useful tips to travel not only to Cartagena, but around Colombia.

Be prepare to spend at least three hours there. It is worth every penny.
