Trondheim, Soer Trondelag
so much art!
Wonderful, vibrant city, abounding in fascinating statues. Not to miss: the paintings lining the nave of Nideros Domkirke, Norway’s oldest church, begun in 1070. Especially a rendering of The Last Supper in which the disciples all have 2 faces (Judas, 3)) depicting, I gather, their misunderstanding and confusion about what Jesus was telling them. The artist is Trondheim native, Haakon Gualvaag, about whom I can find nothing on the internet! Wah!
