Machu Picchu, Cusco Region

Better Than You Think

I had of course heard about Machu Pichu long before I found myself catching the train to go there ( if I had walked I would surely have died from exhaustion en-route ). I didn’t really know what to expect except that when I have visited other places as lauded as Machu Pichu I have found the reality sadly lacking.

Machu Pichu however had every bit as big an impact as I could have hoped to expect, it’s hard to say what it is about the place which is so cool, the setting or the town it’s self but whatever it is you will definitely not ever regret visiting and experiencing it for yourself.

Morzine, Haute Savoie

Lovely Snow

Just got back from a weeks boarding in Morzine and although I need a lot more practice before I can enjoy that properly I thouroughly enjoyed Morzine it’s self. Plenty of lifts, lots of nearby chalets to stay in and a lovely, compact town centre with all facilities.

The FIB Music festival is the festival which has it all, great bands and music through the night and a beach, excellent camping areas and a first rate holiday town with a good variety of cafes, pubs and supermarkets right on your doorstep.
