Cape Cod National Seashore, Cape Cod

June 2007

I made a point of getting our sticker this year as soon as we settled in our summer home on the Cape. Later that same day we went to Herring Cove Beach, which is past Provincetown. It was a lovely day and the beach was empty (in mid June it’s still pretty cool and the winds were incredibly strong that day.

I remember sitting on the sane wrapped in a blanket, watching my children run after the sandpipers and hunt for crabs and felt such a sense of peace and homecoming. I love the Cape and it’s beaches more than any other location on the planet. I’m blessed that it has been my second home for so many, many years.

Nanchang, Jiangxi

Untitled

I’ve actually been to Nanchang in Jiangxi Province in the People’s Republic of China. It was in August of 1995 and we adopted our then 5 month old daughter there. She is now 12 and I would love to return there with her (and her brother, who was adopted in Cambodia a few years later).
