Uluru, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Untitled
I was five when I climbed Ayers Rock, and I accidentally did it alone.
My dad is elderly, so when I saw him waving his hand as he was doubled over, I thought that meant go on. Turns out that really meant stop…
I ended up climbing most of it alone, with some help from some tourists because it was fly season and once I’d climbed high enough, I didn’t want to wear the unnecessary mask. I was talking with some people and they offered to hold it for me. I guess they still have that mask, considering I forgot all about it once I got to the top.
Uluru is amazing, you can never forget it.

All I remember is the 1989 earthquake…
I swear it’s a lovely place…
