Four Years on Oahu
As the title said, I lived four years on Oahu and I strongly encourage everyone to visit. Don’t just get stuck on Waikiki Beach, though. Take a bus to the windward side of the island and go to Kailua Beach (see the picture above). It’s not at ALL crowded (except on the weekends) and it is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. Visit the other islands as well. Plan on spending more than a week, though. A few days just won’t do them justice and it will only leave you aching for more.
