This is one of the most ignored areas of France and one of the most beautiful! My family have a house over there in a tiny little hamlet an hour’s drive from Clermont and I never get tired of going there. You can hike, sail, swim, climb, canoe etc. in summer and then ski/board, skate etc. in winter. This area was also a hotspot for the Resistance during WW2, so anyone interested in history ought to come here. Definately worth a visit!
over 6 years agoI came here because the school my dad teaches at was running a ski trip and all my family incl. me ski, so we were invited to make up numbers! It was absolutely wonderful – one of the nicest places I’ve been to and that includes DisneyWorld! The slopes are just incredible, so if you’re a skier/boarder don’t miss it!
