Palmer Creek Tarns, Hope
Palmer Creek, Hope
Just got back from the tarns at the head waters of Palmer Creek. It was a gorgeous hot Alaskan weekend (in the 80’s) and we cooked! Much hiking and then blueberry picking today.

over 6 years agoLost Lake traverse, south end of Kenai Lake, off the Seward Highway at Primrose Campground and boat launch. 15 ish miles of some of the best and most beautiful trail I’ve ever hiked. Nice alpine camping and wandering after the first 5 miles up and in. Saw very few other people, lots of wildflowers and a fox.
over 6 years agoWas in Cozumel in Janurary, nice break from the weather here. Crashed on a scooter (blame the husband as he was driving), that sort of put a hold on things. Two things: Don’t rent a scooter, if you must rent a scooter, get the insurance. We only ended up paying about 20$’s more than the deductable on the insurance anyway, so we lucked out (what with not having it and all). But, it could have been a lot worse.
One bad case of road rash, one luxated left wrist and one bill for $535.00 later…..
We did get to go diving once (having blown our wad on the wreck), and it was incredible. You MUST dive if you go to Cozumel.
