This is pretty much my second home. I haven’t been back since Katrina and may not ever go. I grew up eating at the Harbor House Restaurant and staying at the Penthouse Condo Timeshare my dad’s best friend had as well as Arlene Hall.

My favorite movie theater (and in top 5 places in the world) is the Silver Screen Cinema. In fact, the Edgewater Shopping Center it’s in is the greatest ever in my heart.

If any locals know anything as to the status of these places, please let me know.

Take your own water, cuz I got really sick on the mineral water. However, I would like to go back and hopefully have a better experience, cuz the place itself is really cool.

If you’re down there over the 4th of July, definitely go down to Lake Leatherwood, and stay somewhere that is run by a Thurman.
