I met some very nice people from South Africa when I was in South America, so I think it would be cool to see where they came from. It would also be cool to learn Afrikaans.

Why I want to go back

I’ve never actually set foot upon the soil of North Carolina. I’ve only driven through it a couple of times without stopping. It’s not that I didn’t want to stop, mind you, but there wasn’t any good place to stop a semi truck along the routes I took. So, I just have to go back sometime.

I live in St Paul, MN, so one thing I think would be cool is to drive from here to Charleston on US 52 in my 1957 Chevy. I’ve only driven 52 from St Paul to Rochester, MN, up to Minot, ND, and a little bit in Ohio along the river.

I want to see where it goes through West Virginia and Virginia and North Carolina as well.
