Savannah was absolutely beautiful. It was historic, and full of culture, just as i thought it would be. One thing i didnt prepare for was the humidity. I know heat “born and raised in Las Vegas” i know 120 degree summers, and living in Alabama and Florida for the past 8 years i know humidity, but Savannah was something else. Prepare to sweat non stop, feel smothered, and have serious allergies. Take Benadryl with you “i lived on it” while i was there, and dont feel bad if you take 5 showers a day “everytime you go back to your hotel room”. You can actually stay outside of the Historic District for a LOT less than 250 – 300 dollars a night … We stayed about 10 mins from the historic district at the “inn at mulberry grove” and we loved it for less than 100 dollars a night! The tours are a must, we toured Savannah on our own at our own pace for a while, but we sincerely enjoyed the tours. They’re worth the price, just dont be afraid to compare and shop around!
