Go on Wednesday evenings for their cheap hamburger and beer night.

This is a large gym with absurdly high prices, especially for spa services and personal training. The social atmosphere is obsequious (the staff) and unfriendly (the patrons).

The overall ambience of the interior space is Las Vegas-meets-Carmela Soprano. Watch for enormous columns that “support” the dropped office-style ceiling panels and fluorescent lights. For such a large gym, the workout areas are surprisingly cramped. However, the locker rooms and swimming pools are kept very clean.

If you sense a certain Disneyesque aura, the effect may be intentional. Employees of this gym are officially called “cast members.” (I swear this is true.)

The food is well prepared. The prices are… optimistic, for what you get. This is a good neighborhood restaurant (if budget is not an issue), but probably not worth a trip.

I am quite taken with this small, upscale restaurant located in strip mall. The Austrian menu tends to be heavy, but the dishes are classic and well prepared. Recommended!

This is definitely a place to check out. It serves Korean barbecue (you grill your own food at your table) and sushi. It’s fun, and the food is very tasty.

I went with a Japanese friend. He said the food is extremely authentic and compares well to a good restaurant in Japan.
