I flew business class to Seattle (from Australia) which in itself was very enjoyable and then got put up in the Edge Water hotel which is where the Beattles stayed apparently and where people used to fish out of their windows.

I had a brand new laptop (iBook, my first Apple in 7 years) and all expenses paid for. Brief trip of 5 days, worked hard but got to see a bit of Seattle on the weekend.

Best of all, I discovered Sushi. Dinner the first night was at the Edgewater where I had tuna for the first time and loved it, then I went to a Sushi bar the next night and then every lunch after that ;-)

Ahhhh a nice trip

The most liveable city in the world!

All Melbourne needs is a few more coffee shops…at the moment there is only 1 per person ;-)

If you are coming…try and stay in the city (downtown) and explore the bars and lane ways. Lots of new shopping precincts as well to check out….its all about the alley ways

What can I say…..staying a friend’s house looking out over the water was just amazing. Then to head out sailing…..Truely the most beautiful place.

I went in Feb 2004 and it was fantastic. Being from Australia the concept of snow and sub zero temps is quite amazing. Not to mention getting on the plane in shorts and 37 degrees celcius and hoping off in sub zero temps.

Its much more like old Europe than a commercial hub with lots of curvy streets and not many buildings over 5 stories.

Check out the church built into the ground and if you are there in winter there is a fantastic coffee shop on the main blvd…just can’t remember the name ;-)
